For those who would prefer a more adventurous trip why not follow The Great Glen Way. This Cycle Route runs from Fort William to Inverness, a total of 79 miles.  Much of this route is on The Caledonian Canal trail where you can begin your journey from Fort William. The route is a mixture of flat and hilly sections both on road and track and takes you through some stunning scenery.  There are many places to see and visit enroute so you plan as you want.

Bikes collection can be arranged (at an extra cost) at accessible locations along the trail, should you choose not to return to Fort William.
